H. Moser Goes Pink for 2026 Alpine F1 Season

H. Moser is entering their third season with Alpine motorsports, and with the 2026 Formula 1 season nearly underway, the brand is releasing a pair of Streamliner watches for the drivers, and for the team mechanics. The two-watch concept builds on the same platform we saw released last year, with a mechanical Streamliner featuring an openworked dial paired with a digital smart watch set within the same Streamliner case. The idea here is a watch for both sides of the garage, each taking a maximalist approach to design and functionality in the process. The first set we got was blue and white, and this year, the brand is leaning into the pink end of the French racing program’s livery.

The title sponsor of Alpine’s F1 team remains BWT, Europe’s leading water technology company, whose pink corporate color has defined Alpine’s car livery since taking on the role in 2022. The pink joins Alpine’s traditional deep blue to create one of the more eye-catching cars on the grid. This year, Alpine has made the switch to using their own Renault based power units, to becoming a Mercedes customer team (a move that unfortunately meant the closure of Renault’s Viry-Châtillon factory, and the end of Alpine’s Hypercar program), providing a more positive outlook on the F1 team’s trajectory heading into the new regulation set.

As the season gets underway at Australia’s Albert Park circuit, Alpine mechanics will get a new bit of kit from H. Moser, allowing them to track a host of their activities throughout the duration of the race. Not only does it boast the usual suite of timing functions you’d expect from a digital watch, it will also provide a countdown to upcoming races, and even provide team specific messages and alerts for the mechanics wearing it. Just how (and if) those features will be put to use throughout the season remains to be seen, but last year provided plenty of spotting opportunities for the digital Streamliner.

As for the driver’s edition,  in this case, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, a more traditional Streamliner also takes on the pink colorway. This uses a 42mm steel pebble shaped case mounted to a pink rubber strap. Inside is the caliber HMC 700 developed with Agenhor for H. Moser & Cie. that’s been skeletonized to reveal the oscillating weight, which is mounted between the dial and the movement (this makes for a clean view around back). This movement features a centrally mounted chronograph, meaning no sub-dials are needed, ala the Sinn EZM1. While the view through the dial isn’t necessarily bad, a Vanta black base would have gone pretty hard with the bright pink hands and band.

The pair of watches are ordered together, with 50 examples of the driver’s edition planned for production, and 70 of the mechanic’s edition planned for production (the offset is likely to provide team personnel watches to wear during the season, and presumably be put to auction at the conclusion?). Pricing is set at $74,400. H. Moser & Cie.
