Baltic is returning to Tour Auto to sponsor the 2026 event featuring five legs across six days beginning at the Grand Palais of Paris and ending at the coast in Biarritz. This will be the French brand’s fourth year of involvement with the event, and to mark the occasion they are releasing a pair of dashboard mounted mechanical timers that pick up on the themes seen in previous installments. There is no watch attached to this release, but rather, two hand held timers, one clock and one flyback chronograph, that can be set within a single dash (or desk) mount.

The concept of mechanical dash mounted timers is certainly old-school, but Baltic have retained a familiar design language seen in both the Tricompax LE from 2024, and the Scaelgraph from 2025. The design is vintage coded, but it doesn’t exactly look old thanks to the execution. This is a skill that Baltic have become quite adept at over the years, and can be found across their range of watches, which is a very good thing.

Each of these use a steel framework that measures 60mm in diameter, and 18mm in thickness, numbers that aren’t entirely relevant as these things aren’t worn the wrist, but should slot into a pocket with ease. Both use soft light blue dials like the Scalegraph with a contrasting off-white sub register measuring the elapsed minutes in the chronograph, and the running seconds in the clock. Both use Arabic numerals like the Tricompax, rather than the radially positioned bars of the Scalegraph, which was a wise choice for the purpose of these.

Baltic is using handwound mechanical movements in both of these, with a Hanhart 122 flyback pulling duty in the chronograph, and an ENLOONG 6497 residing in the clock. Winding is handled through a crown emerging at 12 o’clock, which is accessible even when set within the mount. Tour Auto hosts an impressive selection of mid century sport cars, from old Ferraris and Porsches, to more approachable Fiats and Alfas. It captures the essence of a certain era, and with that in mind, these dash mounted timers are a perfect nod to the experience.

Just 300 examples are planned for production, and yes, they come with the steel mount. The pair is priced at $966, and is available now just in time to kick off the tour itself. Baltic
