Doxa x Topper Reveal Great White SUB 200 T.Graph II

Fresh off the reveal of a new generation of the T.Graph diving chronograph from Doxa, the historic brand is once again partnering with Topper Jewelers on the release of a special Great White colorway. This follows a trend that began with the Sub 300 Great White, and the 250T GMT Great White, which bring a clean white dial, inspired by the underside of a great white shark, to classic Doxa references. In the case of this T. Graph II, the ‘Great White’ dial is fully luminous, with blue lacquer hands and hour makers. Oh, and the date has been nixed from the six o’clock position.

The return of the T.Graph represents another step in Doxa fully establishing themselves within the modern dive watch market by utilizing their historic designs. The T.Graph II is an evolution of the original that manages to capture the unique aplomb of the concept. It remains funky, full of character, and somehow still relevant. While the core collection of the new T.Graph II welcomes a traditional and familiar range of dial colors, the clean white pushes the design into new, more modern territory.

Topper Jewelers is based in Burlingame, California, and have long looked to the waters west of San Francisco for inspiration. With the Great White colorway, the inspiration comes from the Farallon Islands, which host great white sharks primarily during the fall season to feed on the juvenile elephant seals and sea lions. Naturally, these are exactly the kinds of environments that Doxa builds watches for, so it serves as a fitting partnership for both parties.

The new T.Graph II in Great White configuration is a limited edition with 100 units planned for production. It uses the same 42mm steel case and beads of rice style bracelet you’d find on the standard references, and gets an elabore grade Sellita SW510 behind a closed caseback. It’s the same movement in the standard, though the date complication has been removed from the bottom of the dial. The stark white dial is accented by deep blue detailing, and a strategic use of orange in the minute totalizer.

Overall, this is a welcome rendition of one of Doxa’s most beloved designs. A dateless option that leans into a modern palette presents a notable departure from the core collection, all without abandoning the strength of the original DNA. Hopefully, we’ll see additional collaborations within this collection to express new visions of the design. The Sub 200 T.Graph II ‘Great White’ will be limited to 100 individually numbered units, and will be priced at $4,690. Doxa / Topper Jewelers
