In this episode of The Deep Track podcast, we welcome Asher Rapkin of Collective Horology to discuss some of the 2023 trends and themes that we think will have an impact on 2024. Collective Horology is a retailer of 9 watch brands, and is known for the inventive collaborations from watch brands such as Zenith, Oris, Urwerk, and others. Asher is an enthusiast and collector with a wide ranging collection, which has taken a turn toward smaller independents and micro-brands of late. We also discuss the somewhat surprising year that Rolex had, and what that mean moving ahead.
Ashe founded Collective Horology with Gabe Reilly in 2018, and made an immediate impression with a sleek collaboration with Zenith. They’ve since broadened their vision to bring independent watch brands to a wider audience, offering brands such as Fears, Formex, and Czapek and telling the stories of brands like Speake-Marin, James Lamb, and Nicholas Hacko.
