This week is a solo episode with a discussion around the reemergence of quartz watches as depicted in a recent article by the New York Times, a home brew project that brings a red aluminum heat shield to the MoonSwatch, and the titanium IWC GST Aquatimer 2000. There’s also a deeper look at what the Aquatimer has become, and where it could potentially go from here, through the lens of its past. This is a great dive watch collection that could use some love, but thankfully, there are still plenty of interesting examples available from its history.
