The Deep Track Podcast: Ep. 33 – Nick Engvall

This week we welcome Nick Engvall, veteran of the sneaker industry media space, and founder of Sneaker History. Nick also co-hosts a number of podcasts about sneakers, cars, and Formula 1 in particular, all of which are discussed in this episode. The sneaker space has many parallels with the watch enthusiast space, and has experienced many of the same highs and lows in recent years, and we talk about what makes each unique. There’s also plenty of nostalgia here, looking back at eras that defined our respective experiences in this spaces.

We also get into a bit of car talk here as we both share a similar affinity for ’90s import cars and car culture. This has fostered a deep love on racing and we wrap up the episode with a look back at the first half of the 2024 Formula 1 season that has suddenly become quite competitive. We’ll be returning to F1 talk in future episodes as the season progresses.
